I am cleaning/painting a set of disc brake hubs. I forgot which way the grease zerk fittings go. I know one end was straight and one is 45 degree angle, between top and bottom. My car has drum hubs so it is different, they are both straight and both on the front side of the hub.

Somerford shows them as straight:

And mine are both straight as well. The upper arm has an angle on mine, but who knows when and how ic ould have been changed.

I've seen more straight than angled.

The upper arm zerks should be 45-degree angle, the ball joints straight and the rear radius arms straight.

I use 45-degree angled zerk fittings on the rear radius arms because it's easier for me to negotiate the grease gun behind the wheel arch flair.
