There's now a stunning Mk. I Cooper S on BAT.  And stunningly photographed too, (professional photographer I would say).

I haven't studied all the photos in depth, but it looks very nice indeed.   Surprisingly, no under car shots yet.

It's early to say, but if there are no surprises, I could see this one going for the upper $30Ks or more.

Just sold with lots of last minute bids for $41K.

So I should build my 67 up and sell it for 50 or 60k?

Makes one wonder just how many buyers there are out there for expensive Minis?  8.gif

Based upon the number of people involved in last minute bidding for every expensive Mini, I'd say there are quite a few.

Don't try to understand car collectors right now.  It goes from  8.gif to  :-[ to  11.gif to  50.gif.

The Innocenti on BAT was RNM at $2100.    Seems like it might have met reserve somewhere around $4K is my guess.

Anyone else notice the trend of how many cars for sale on BaT were bought only a few months prior - on BaT?

It's like Mecum and Bonhams and all the other big auction houses, the same few guys buying and selling over and over again and driving the prices up.......pisses me off cause it's all based on speculation rather than the real value of the car.

Or people in the know scouring the for sale adds buying up stuff they've seen go for stupid money on BaT but that the rest of the public hasn't figured out yet.

But if they pay stupid money on BaT, how do they expect to make more re-selling on BaT?

No, they know people will pay stupid money on BaT, but the random craigslist seller or local seller isn't aware of the market.  Like, O you have a Integra Type R for sale, lovely, I'll give you 10K cause it's in great shape and I had one bla bla bla.  Clean it up, put it on BaT, BAM 35K  Kind of like the 240z market right now.   I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that have no idea what they are currently selling for.

There's a Mini Van times 1.5 over at BAT.    Not cheap.  But it offers a little more than usual.

If it wasn't so much money it would be a good candidate for a D series engine.

Good looking combination tho.....

Add in the cost and headache of importing from the Netherlands.

Yet another Mini being auctioned on BAT.  This one is a rare Authi model.   I see that temperature gauge goes from Frio to Caliente.    4.gif

No real under car shots yet.   My wild guess is this one will be bid up to $11-12K.

I forgot to mention the Authi Mini is said to have just 14K miles from new, so that makes it even more rare.

BAT indicates that there's a white Moke that needs some bodywork.  Sounds kinda familiar?   ;D    It's a later Oz Moke with the 13" wheels, but it's titled as a 1967, so not exactly correct.  No mention on the engine size.  But it's on Craigslist for $6800 which, in the world of Mokes, is cheap!

Wow.  From what I can see looking at it with my phone, that is a very nice nearly original Mini.  I can't wait to look at it closer on my computer.   At this point I'm thinking it may approach $20K if the right buyer is out there.  And if it's a UK buyer, it could go higher.

The little green one was snagged with an extra 1000 bid.  Pretty sure the entire BaT universe was watching the Cosworth.  Guess they're valuable, but 55K for 80's overdone styling, 200HP and 0-60 in 6.2.  I just don't get it.
