Just in case my terninology is different to others, Prepsol/prewash is a cleaning solvent specifically designed for initial surface preparation before
painting.

My vehicle is being bead blasted back to bare metal next week and I need to get it prep'd for primer. I have had a few different opinions on this topic. Some people say you should wipe the bare metal over with Prepsol (paint product for removing any oil) and other say just sand it with 80 grit sandpaper, then 80 grit roloc disc then blow clean with the air compressor. Obviously do not touch it after useing the roloc disc.

what have people done or would do? ::)

Personally I wouldn't want to sand the whole car if I didn't have to, and if I did any sanding on bare metal after a nice media blast I'd use 320 to reduce workload later.
