** SOLD! **  1996 Rover Mini Cooper 35 - commemorative edition.

Making the plunge - selling this one to make room for other directions.

Japanese spec Mini Cooper 35 commemorative edition for the 35th anniversary of the Mini Cooper in Almond Green with Olde English White roof. This car has been "backdated" to give it a MK-I exterior appearance with conversions to MK-I grill, 10" wheels with 7.5" front disk brakes, wheel arches deleted, MK-I tail lights, and MK-I bootlid with hinged number plate holder. Custom carpeted boot board and matching boot lid liner.

Has the factory air conditioning that works and blows cold (already converted to 134A refridgerant). The interior is factory stock, including the full porcelin green upholstery, wood dash, and Japanese spec radio (does work). A power port unit has been added below the heater controls for powering GPS, phones, etc. The taillights have been updated to LED bulbs for added safety/visibility and the flasher units changed to accomodate the LED bulbs.

Engine is the stock 1275 SPI with all items working as they should. The transmission shifts smoothly with no issues or noises (no "crunching" in any gears).

Runs and drives great.

Ah.  I love the way that car looks.  Almond Green is one of my favorite Mini colors from the BMC era. It's so nice I think you'll miss it Michael, but I know you have other things in mind to acquire.  Good luck with the sale.  Are you going to try and put it on Bring a Trailer too?  I'm guessing you're taking that car up to the Cars & Coffee in Austin tomorrow morning to expose it to potential buyers there?  (not to mention having an air-conditioned ride!)  See you at 5 AM!

Update: The car is back in my possession from the consignment service.  It did not sell through them - I think they over-priced it.

Selling it by myself again.

I re-added some of the pictures in the original post.

Asking $28500 (obo).

I have not yet fully decided what the next project will be.  I want to see the sale through completion first, then look at options.
