I started striping my mini down to the shell.  I was going to add some pictures to this thread, but I couldn't paste them.

A friend of mine has a sand blaster and I am planning on using it in the next couple of weeks.  Someone else told me I should be cautious on using a sand blaster because the sheet metal may be too thin and stretch from the friction.

Wondering if anyone has sand blasted their entire mini without problems.

Is a good book/DVD to walk you through a restoration to make sure I get all the problem areas that I might not see.

If sand blasting is not a good idea what grade sand paper should I use?

I can't help you with the sand blasting bit, but I do know that soda blasting is the new rage for the shells and people have had good success with it.   dan

Never sand blasted an entire mini, but on the few panels and various parts I've done, its very messy.  Wear long sleeves and a face mask.

just be careful not to warp the panels as your blasting them.
