I'm not sure that car 'survived'.   

I guess it is like looking a some old castle ruins and imagining what used to be.   


However, this 'oldest Mini', reg '434 NWL' has some provenance:

1988 Austin Mini
2002 MINI Cooper S
1992 Toyota LiteAce (JDM)
1997 Jeep Wrangler Sahara

"survived" is why I added the question mark......when it's rusted to pieces, doesn't run, there no paint or interior left, is it really a survivor?

But $50K in today's money is a lot to spend for a hulk that will only be used as a display in a museum or something....but I guess people have spent more for less.

I don't get the survivor collector market.  If it's running and driving then fine that's pretty special.  But once it's to this point I don't get it.  And like it stated, the drivers door isn't original anymore.
