Looks like I have two of this as well with one sender. I think one came when I bought an engine and they gave me all the gauges theye were not going to use.
Not sure i have an easy way to test this and I took the bulb socket out of one to go with the clock.

The electric sender takes up some space and with my MPi engine I decided to use the mechanical gauge. I know I used a VDO electric on a Vanagon along time ago and used a short oil pressure line to mount it on the firewall. Depending on the engine and whether you want to keep the oil idiot light if you have one, you might have to be creative to make this work.

The brand on the face is Nitro. I bought them at Harbor Freight a few years ago. For the oil temp I drilled and tapped the front of the transmission.

Using them I wish the range was smaller. The oil temp goes up to 340ºF, which obviously is much higher than it will ever get, and the Tach goes up to 8000 rpm.
