I have a 1991 SPi Cooper. It was running. Then it wasn't. I had just put it back on the road after suspension and brake work. And it ran (and stopped) very well. The relay box "clicks" repeatedly with the ignition on but the fuel pump will not run and the starter will not engage (on ignition key).  I have opened the relay box and it is the main relay that is clicking. When I close the contacts on the starter and fuel pump relays both operate but no spark. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for SPIs?

Send me an address and I will send you the relay box I took out of the Tahiti Blue Mini.  It was fully working.  I will also see if I can copy out the wiring diagrams for the SPI from my Haynes manual and send as well.

This may not be the best, but it is for power distribution.
there were some variations on the SPi;

This is the full diagram for the later cars, but it does cover the SPi

Actually this one may be specific to the JDM SPi.

This is the complete early SPi manual:

tmsmini,

That is way more comprehensive than I would be able to provide.  That is great material!

Thank you. These diagrams will be very helpful. This is my first "late" model Mini (1991). The wiring on the 70's models is "relatively" much simpler.
