Title: Leaky head gasket (not blown)
Post by: ADRay on April 27, 2019, 07:36:42 AM
It appears that I have oil leaking from between the head and the block. I've looked at the oil & coolant and they are both clean.

I need to do something about the oil leak. Is there anything short of replacing the head gasket that I can do? Thinking in terms of stop-leak products... does such thing exist? Thanks

Check torque settings and then replace said gasket if it still leaks.

I agree - retorque the head first (don't forget to recheck the valve clearances) and see if that takes care of it. If not - replace the head gasket.

I don't know of any stop leak product that would stop a head gasket leak, those are mostly designed to swell seals up and help slow leaks from seals, not gaskets.

Ah, ok. thank you gentlemen.
