Title: Jaguar, Mini, Austin Healey Show
Post by: MiniDave on May 21, 2017, 09:35:59 AM
This was actually a Jaguar event, but they invited the local Mini and Austin Healey clubs to display too, the venue is Crown Center Plaza in KC. The weather was pretty cool and rainy in the morning but it dried up later in the day.

Most of the Mini folk met up at one of those trendy new coffee shops to get warmed up before heading down tot he plaza, the organizers were surprised how many Mini/MINIs showed up, I think there were more of use than Jags!

It's always fun to get together for one of these shows, but I really prefer to go drive my Mini than sit behind it at a show, but I did see a number of people I hadn't seen in a while, and made some new contacts.

Today is our annual Micro and Mini Car Show, this used to be a huge event, attracting upwards of 50 cars, many of them extremely rare or unusual, but lately attendance has dropped of quite a bit. Next weekend I'll be organizing our summer at the Drive-In event.....May is always a busy month for car club events!

10000 internet points to whomever can tell me what is unique, different, unusual or notable about the blue 67 E-Type OTS

Today was the KC Micro and Mini Car show, the turnout gets smaller every year unfortunately, but I always meet someone interesting - this year it was a young fellow (76!) with a racing Mini. We had fun talking minis and  it turns out we know a lot of the same people from way back when......
